About Charlotte
Charlotte Chandler and her family has lived in the Hampton Roads area for over four generations—they often say that they have river water running through their veins. Growing-up here has shaped her interests: She loves southern writers and food, is committed to ODU basketball, and know that it does not get any better than relaxing on a porch overlooking the water with family and friends.
She has spent her professional life as an educator—first, as an adjunct professor in a university and now, as a real estate agent. A good educator is a meticulous researcher, a careful listener, a creative, compassionate teacher, and a tireless advocate. As a REALTOR®, she is an educator.
Charlotte became interested in real estate with the 1998 purchase of her first home: a charming, cedar shake A-frame built in 1935. She loved that home, and it was during that purchase, that her uncle suggested she meet and talk to Nancy Chandler about selling real estate. It has been 17 years since that conversation, and she is so grateful to her uncle for suggesting she meet Nancy. Selling real estate turned out to be the perfect profession for Charlotte.
Charlotte is married to John Chandler, a retired Navy Captain, and they have three girls and two dogs. As a (former) military spouse, she clearly understands the unique concerns surrounding a service move. Her familiarity with the area makes her ideally suited to work first-time buyers, general business relocation, sellers, and investors.
She graduated from the old Ferguson High School in Newport News, VA, received a BA in Art History from William and Mary, and PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Virginia Tech.
Charlotte would be delighted to help you with your real estate needs.
