About Chris

Hi, my name is Chris O’Connell and I am a Broker and REALTOR with F.C. Tucker Fort Wayne Realtors. I was born and raised in the greater Fort Wayne, Indiana area. I attended Bishop Luers High School and received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University- Purdue University Fort Wayne. After working in the mental health field for a year I moved to Terre Haute Indiana to pursue a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and an Educational Specialist in School Psychology. Upon graduation I lived in the greater Indianapolis area for two years working as a school psychologist. I then moved back to Fort Wayne and practiced school psychology for 10 years. My passion for helping people began at an early age and every job, part-time to professional, I have held has been client-centered.

I became interested in real estate after experiencing the process of purchasing and selling homes as a home owner. I feel my professional training and experience in mental health coupled with my professional training and experience in real estate benefits my clients two-fold. Buying and selling a home can be one of the most stressful life events a person encounters.

My family has history of lake property ownership dating back several generations; I have lived lake-front myself. I decided to pursue the National Association of REALTORS ® Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification. The RSPS specializes in buying, selling or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination, to assist them with their search.

I approach and embrace each real estate transaction personally, and will team with you to buy or sell a home in Fort Wayne, on our area lakes, or any other location in Northeast Indiana.
