Born in Central America and moved to the United States at age 12. I obtained my real estate license at 18 years old, immediately out of high school, and started my real estate career specializing as a foreclosure sales HUD, V.A., RTC, FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC and others. At 20 years old I was recognized as #1 independent new construction salesman for new construction sales for Coral Ridge Properties in Coral Springs FL. I continued selling real estate full time, averaging 3 to 5 closings a month, until 2005 when the real estate market took a downturn. In my efforts to transition during volatility of the housing bubble I began exploring viable real estate sales opportunities in declining markets, which led me to the amazing auction industry as an answer.
In 2006 I began focusing my sales training and skills to procuring real estate for sale by auction. In my qualifying campaign for the real estate I discovered that there was a substantial need for the disposition of personal property associated with the properties, thus leading me to obtain my Auctioneers license in 2008 and opening my affiliate brokerage and auction company of the J. Sugarman Auction Corp., Sugarman Auctions and Estates.
Now in my 12th year as an Auctioneer, I have conducted over 100 million dollars in real estate and personal asset value by auction. My sale portfolio encompasses a diverse and eclectic mix of items I've sold such as fine art, airplanes, jewelry, reptiles, firearms, websites, resorts, country clubs, limousines, pianos, and grandma's tea set.
