Christy Howey

Christy was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, and graduated from NC State University. Upon graduation, she moved to Charlotte and worked as a Sales Account Executive for Miles/Bayer Pharmaceuticals. She was a true traveling salesperson, spending 10 years on the road calling on doctor’s offices and hospitals throughout the state of NC. Three of the 10 years, she earned the prestigious “Ring Club Award” awarded to the top five sales representative in the nation.

Christy took a break to raise five children while volunteering as Sunday School teacher, preschool and school PTA board president, room mother, team mother, and taking part in many activities involving her children who attended both public and private schools. She volunteered as a weekly counselor at The Urban Ministry Center, led the church’s Salvation Army Overflow, volunteered with Room in the Inn, member of the Outreach committee, and became a personal mentor for three homeless adults. She continues to be a Women’s Bible Study small group leader.

In 2003, Christy joined her husband’s company, Howey Construction, as the Design and Selection Coordinator. During this time, she learned home construction, and this has served her clients well as she is well- versed in all aspects of construction, understands inspection reports, has relationships with vendors and sub-contractors, and knows how to navigate pre and post listing repairs and improvements. She continues to help several builders with their new construction selections as well as their marketing.
Christy earned her real estate broker’s license and joined HM Properties in early 2012. She sells every kind of real estate from investment property to land sales to luxury. She lists and sells all over Charlotte and the surrounding areas and is licensed in South Carolina. She provides expert guidance from day-one to closing and beyond.

Christy and Stan have five grown children - two graduated from Clemson University, two from The College of Charleston and one from UNC-Chapel Hill. They have four grandchildren and a pet beagle.
