I first met Damon Kinard when I sublet my co-op apartment in the East Village of NYC. He immediately found reliable tenants and stayed in touch anticipating my eventual sale. He knows the market and the trends extremely well. He is courteous, on the ball and very responsive in communications. He found a buyer for me in less than 3 weeks and negotiated the price up over the asking price! Does it get better than that?

I highly recommend Damon. He represented me both as seller and buyer for multiple purchases. His knowledge of the west side and especially co-ops was invaluable. He guided me through the complicated process of offers, applications, coop packages & board interviews. All resulting in timely successful real estate transactions.

I highly recommend Damon Kinard for anyone looking for a trustworthy and efficient real estate agent. Damon has leased my West Village apartment for me on several occasions, and each time he has exceeded my expectations. He found me multiple applicants in a short amount of time and was able to secure a higher rent than what other agents had quoted me.
Throughout the entire process, Damon made me feel at ease and taken care of. He was always available to answer any questions I had and was very responsive to my needs. Additionally, he helped me find a new apartment for myself while I was renting the other, which made the transition seamless and stress-free.

Damon Kinard helped us solve the problem of how to buy a house in Harlem. We wanted a new place so our teenager could have a bedroom. Damon walked us through the various steps, including setting up a viewing, getting mortgage approval, putting in an offer, the bidding process, inspection, putting money down, and supported us though the board approval process all the way through to closing. He is very knowledgeable about pricing, and he is patient about explaining how to navigate any problems that may arise. He is also a very nice, laid back guy who keeps things calm in the insanity of the New York real estate market. Highly recommended!

We were put in touch with Damon by two different friends who had worked with him to find their homes in Harlem. As first-time homebuyers, we were anxious about the whole process, but Damon walked us through every step and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions or like we were over-committing before we were ready. He tirelessly showed us property after property until we finally found the one that felt just right.

Damon's expertise and knowledge of the Harlem real estate market were invaluable, though what really stood out to us was that literally everywhere we went -- every outing, every walk back from a listing -- someone raised their hand, waved to him, stopped to say hello. Damon has a neighborly warmth and ease to him, a quietness that belies the fact (which he would no doubt shake off and disagree with) that he really might be the most popular guy in Harlem! Working with him feels like working with a trusted friend rather than a real estate agent. Once we found the right place, Damon went above and beyond to ensure that the negotiation and closing process went smoothly, and we couldn't be happier with our new home.

Overall, Damon Kinard is an exceptional real estate agent who genuinely cares about his clients and their needs. He is knowledgeable and patient, has a great sense of humor, and knows how to diffuse and help a stressed first-time buyer when the process feels like A Lot. (He's also exceptionally tall, which makes gauging the height of each place's ceiling much easier, haha). I highly recommend Damon to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in Harlem.

Damon is a true pro. As first time home buyers, we weren't sure what we wanted and originally were all over the place. As long term Harlem residents ourselves, we were impressed by Damon's knowledge of all of the buildings in our neighbourhood. Damon walked us through our list, sorted out the needs, and showed us ONE PLACE that was our dream home in Harlem. We put in a bid and even though there were multiple bids, we got it on the first try. His knowledge of the market, neighbourhood and even personal connection with the seller side was invaluable.
