Since 2000 Dan has enjoyed serving his clients as a residential real estate broker in Boulder, Colorado and surrounding communities. Dan believes relationships are at the core of what makes work fulfilling. Therefore, Dan desires longer term relationships with his clients. Dan recognizes repeat business and referrals are the result of positive, long-term relationships, and Dan takes pride in having done 4+ transactions with many of his clients and as many as 10+ transactions with a single client.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Dan began investing in real estate while working in the engineering department at a lumber company and truss manufacturer in Lafayette, CO. Scraping together 5% (or less) of the sales price as a down payment to buy investment property awakened Dan to the possibility of building wealth by leveraging debt. By day, Dan studied how homes were built while reading architectural prints, sizing structural beams and creating material take-offs for builders. In the evenings and on weekends, Dan put sweat equity into home improvement projects from one investment property to the next.
Dan has owned 22 properties in Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Nederland, Broomfield, Thornton, Westminster, Erie and in the foothills above Boulder, giving Dan first-hand experience in the communities he serves. From single family homes to townhomes, condos, multi-family rental properties, vacant land, subdivisions, lot splitting and fix-and-flips, Dan utilizes his 20+ years of experience to help his clients make positive quality of life and investment decisions while avoiding real estate pitfalls.
Dan was elected by his peers in the real estate industry to serve on the Board of Directors of the Boulder Area Realtor Association. He maintains good working relationships with other Realtors.
Dan lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two teenage children who were born and raised in Boulder. Dan and his family live a ‘pedestrian’ lifestyle in town, walking and biking on Boulder’s bike path system to school, for groceries, movies, retail and dining options. Other favorite activities include mountain biking in Lyons, skiing at Eldora, hiking at Chautauqua Park, walking the Boulder Creek path, attending sporting events at the University of Colorado, throwing a football at Scott Carpenter Park, tubing on Boulder Creek, exercising at the North Boulder Recreation Center or exploring new trails in Boulder County’s over 100,000 acres of protected land. Every day has the possibility of feeling like a vacation in Boulder!
