14 years as residential contractor; developer of several subdivisions; 17 years as commercial contractor of medical office buildings, neighborhood shopping centers, free standing retail buildings; and developer of commercial business office/ light industrial parks. Purchased northwest corner and southwest corner of US 36 and St. Rd. 267 in 1970's but in order to develop these properties, partnered with Avon Schools to bring Indianapolis Water from 100 S to US 36 along St. Rd. 267; with partners created the first sewage plant constructed along 625 E which today serves almost all of Avon, then sold land where Washington Township Library is located and sold 40 acre's to Avon Schools where the two Intermidiate Schools are located, locally created Prestwick Office Park,and Westridge Office Park.
Graduated from Indiana State University, B.S. Social Studies; 29 year active member, Chapel Rock Christian Church; President of Hendricks County Builders Association, 1978; president of Avon Optimist Club, 1977; President of Avon PTO, 1976; member of committee who negotiated with Postal Service which brought about a long and overdue change in addresses for all of Washington Township to "Avon, 46123".
