About Dan

With a combined experience in the real estate industry spanning nearly 40 years, Dan and Kelly Marks aim to help clients buy or sell with confidence in Pierce, Kitsap and Mason Counties. The Marks team works out of John L. Scott’s Gig Harbor office, specializing in waterfront view and outdoor recreational lifestyle properties.

Dan’s real estate career began in 1991, and before then his career was in management and sales for Central Garden Supply, working with major retail clients throughout the region. Prior to joining Dan in real estate in 2002, Kelly worked for 16 years as a marketing director and consultant for a reprographics company. In this role, she collaborated primarily with architects, engineers, builders and contractors on bid documents and web-based documents. Both Dan and Kelly were drawn to real estate by the prospect of working directly to assist buyers and sellers, while setting their own goals and high standards of quality.

Kelly and Dan aim to treat clients like they would like to be treated, assisting them as best as possible so each client is able to make the most informed and best decision for their situation and lifestyle. As a real estate team, each broker directly assists clients, meaning there is no middleman. The Marks prioritize taking a positive, solution-oriented approach, with the goal of finding win-win solutions for clients.

When it comes to marketing properties for sale, the Marks team believe there is no “one size fits all” approach – they develop tailored marketing plans for each client to attract buyers from a variety of areas. Favorite marketing methods for the Marks include advanced strategies to proactively market your home, robust on-line exposure, video, drone photography, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, sphere of influence, direct mail, and open house when appropriate.

Dan and Kelly stay active in their community when they are not working. They both support a range of causes, including the fight against breast cancer and Huntington’s disease, as well as the work of the Salvation Army, Tacoma Rescue Mission and other causes in their local Victor, Washington community. Kelly enjoys swimming, reading, walking, and gardening in her spare time; Dan likes to walk, travel, and read and they both enjoy downhill skiing.
