About Dan
A Los Angeles native with a commitment to his clients and their lifestyle needs, Dan brings a reputation for his strong work ethic, expert negotiating skills, and extensive knowledge of the city’s luxury real estate market to The Agency.
Raised in the San Fernando Valley and having grown up in a real estate family, Dan has been involved in the intricacies of real estate sales and development since childhood. As a result, his sophistication in transactions extends beyond the initial framework of a deal. In addition to helping buyers find their dream homes, he has extensive knowledge of commercial and income properties and a knack for identifying properties for developers with an eye for maximizing profit in sales. Furthermore, Dan’s technical knowledge of the process and mechanics of construction is rare for a sales agent, as few have had as much first-hand experience in redeveloping existing properties and ground-up new construction.
Prior to joining The Agency, Dan served as Director at Aaroe International Luxury Properties, where his consistent sales of high-end homes totaled over a quarter of a billion dollars. His knowledge of architecture and involvement in the sales and leases of some of L.A.’s most architecturally significant properties, designed by such noted architects as Wallace Neff, Paul Williams, Gerard Colcord, Marshall Lewis, and Richard Landry, also led to his designation as a Director of Aaroe International’s architectural division. Prior to Aaroe International, Dan spent eight years with Coldwell Banker, where he earned the distinguished title of Coldwell Banker Estates Director after just thirteen months with the company.
Before making his foray into real estate, Dan spent several years in the entertainment industry working in talent representation at one of the largest talent agencies. His work on complex, multi-million-dollar deals with actors, writers, directors, and industry professionals left him with stellar negotiating skills and a distinct ability to assess his clients’ needs – traits which have carried over into his real estate dealings. As a result, many of Dan’s former colleagues and clients turn to him for representation in their real estate transactions.
Known in the industry for being a hardworking and ethical agent, Dan prides himself on making every transaction as seamless as possible. In many situations, other brokers will go out of their way to work with Dan, as they know they will have an open line of communication and that the deals will always close.
Dan lives in Beverly Hills with his wife, Shelby, an entertainment attorney, in their (painstakingly) restored 1930 Monterey Colonial Spanish home. They have three sons, Sam, Eli, and Jonah who attend the local Beverly Hills public schools. They also have three rescue dogs, Callie, Henry, and Louie. In addition to his passion for exploring Los Angeles and its unique architecture, Dan enjoys skiing, traveling, art, and classic cars. An animal lover, he contributes to several animal rights and rescue charities.
