Daniel was an outstanding realtor for our home buying process! We were first time home buyers looking to buy in Santa Clara or San Mateo County. Daniel and his team led us through 4 offers including our final accepted offer. They also helped us evaluate dozens of other homes during our process, providing us with disclosures and market analysis usually within minutes or hours of our request. In each case Daniel gave us spot-on advice around where he thought the house would eventually sell. He never pressured us and gave us the info we needed to be informed and empowered buyers. The first three offers did not work out but only because we decided to under bid, knowing based on Daniel's advice they would likely sell for more, and they did. In our final offer though, that is where Daniel and team really shined! We again underbid but this time on a house that didn't have other active buyers interested at the time. Daniel was able to work with the selling realtor to eventually accept our offer, a true testament to his savviness as a realtor and negotiator. We just closed escrow and couldn't be happier!

As first-time home buyers, my partner and I had a tryst with two realtors before finding Daniel. The difference was night and day: Daniel is extraordinarily experienced, spent a lot of time to help us understand the home buying process to an advanced degree, and was on-call by video chat, e-mail, and text. With the number of queries that inexorably go back and forth, that is so much better than realtors who only really respond well to phone calls.

Daniel understands the speed at which you sometimes need to act: he got us the disclosures within an hour of first contact, and a private viewing the next morning on a home we wanted to see again after an open house that weekend. He is backed up by a team that is super-nimble on e-mail to help with the mountains of paperwork.

Daniel got us the home we wanted, at a really great price, by negotiating with the seller's agent down to the last minutes of their offer deadline. He did all of this after having a newborn baby just two days earlier. You really can't ask for much more than that!

Home buying experience can be nerve-wrecking. The sky high Bay Area prices should be the only pain point of any home buyer. But that's not the case. There is a new level of "discrimination" as to where you work. Is it FAANG? If yes, then sure you can bid $500K above the asking price. If not, don't even bother looking at this house, it's not in your means. This has been the story of ours and I guess many other buyers'. We were very disappointed with our last realtor for leading us to the overbidding frenzy and not rationalizing the overall buying strategy. While we were frantically looking out for a new realtor as we saw our dream home, a friend referred us to Daniel and we had our first call. This is where Daniel made the first lasting impression on us. He never once asked us where we worked and let that play into how much we should bid on the house. The next thing that stuck to us was the checklist he sent us after the first call for first and second time home buyers. We both are very detailed and like things laid down so we can start crossing the checklist. Having never met Daniel in person we still had a bit of an apprehension when the D day came and it was time to offer. Unlike our previous realtor he gave us reasons on where we should start the offer price and kept in constant touch with us and the seller’s agent as we worked our way up. What solidified our absolute trust in him was we had signed 2 offer letters - one with the absolute max we could stretch ourselves with and the other with $12K less and we left it to Daniel’s judgement to use whichever he felt could get us the house. He was brilliant and he used the lesser offer letter instead. He knew $12K may be a drop in the ocean but it's a significant amount for us. This was the first house we engaged with Daniel on and it went to closure. We could not be happier. His services didn't end at that. His team put together a brochure of recommendations and referrals of common home improvement projects and other referrals. By now we were blown away by his high standard of ethics and we selected the handyman referred by him to do some jobs around the house. So all in all for someone with whom we have never met in person and with whom we have only interacted for ONE house, he has a 100% success rate and we give him a 10 star review.

Daniel was of course helpful and encouraging, but more importantly, he made a clear effort to make sure that as a first time home buyer, I never felt railroaded into making a decision, and that I always felt like I had the final say. At the same time, he was able to communicate to me when he felt strongly about something, without coming across as pushy.

I'd worked with two realtors prior to working with Daniel, and was starting to grow suspicous of realtors on the whole. I felt like because of their commission-based pay, they were never going to look out for my interests, and would always encourage me to look at more expensive properties than I was comfortable looking at, while at the same time discouraging me from trying to negotiate.

My experience with Daniel though, was exactly the opposite. I believe this is primariliy due to the online videos and literature Daniel has created at Homebuyersbestfriend, which have been invaluable. I do not expect any realtor to sit me down and personally teach me everything I need to know about how to get the best deal for myself, especially when doing so conflicts with their own financial interests.

Which is why I think so highly of Homebuyersbestfriend. Since Daniel has already done the work of packaging up all that information that's in his head into its own product, it doesn't cost him any additional time investment to make them available to me. And since it is being provided without the expectation that I'd be asking him to represent me, I had confidence that the advice I was getting was impartial; I could judge their value for myself, without some sort of attached guilt, i.e. "maybe I should settle for a deal I'm not happy with since he spent all that time schooling me."

The incentives being correctly aligned, I'm happy to report that the provided material was indeed very helpful. Moreover, as mentioned, I did end up using Daniel as my agent, and his service was exemplary. I write this sitting in my new living room, with full faith and confidence that Daniel would do his best to represent any client's best interests as he did mine.
