Daniel Porter

Daniel was born and raised in Western Kentucky, but has called Lexington home since moving here to attend Transylvania University in 2006. Transy is located in the heart of Downtown Lexington, surrounded by neighborhoods rich in fascinating history and iconic architecture, much of which had fallen into decline when he arrived on campus. During his four years in college, he was able to witness first-hand the early renaissance of these areas and their untapped potential.

An avid architecture enthusiast, the renewed commitment in revitalizing downtown enticed Daniel to get his real estate license in the summer of 2014. Consistently ranked among the top producers, not only for his age, but among his entire association, Daniel’s passion for what he does is evident by the specialized care and attention to detail he brings to every transaction. He is a great listener, and truly understands how to build trust in relationships with clients on both ends of the table, bringing a calming and comforting presence to each transaction.

Residential real estate was a natural fit for Daniel because of the pride he takes in his community, and his eagerness to share that pride with others. He knows the key to success is to remain well-rounded and being able to find passion outside of work. During his time at Transy, he was a 4-year letterman and captain of the varsity swim team. Today, he is the head coach of the swim team Henry Clay High School and an assistant with the Lexington Dolphins. If he isn’t out showing property or on a pool deck, he can often be found indulging his passion for music as a pianist for weddings, local charities & events, by “jamming” with other musical friends, or by volunteering his talents through the UK Art Therapy program.
