Dan's Seattle roots run deep, having called the area home since the age of eight when his family relocated for his father's position at Boeing. His journey in real estate began in 1992, when he earned his real estate license at the age of 21 while working as an accounting clerk. Specializing in land sales in the Seattle region, Dan quickly expanded his horizons by joining a prominent local real estate developer and proprietor of a nationwide apartment management company. During this time, he successfully brokered transactions exceeding $100,000,000, facilitating deals for insurance companies, pension funds, and in-house acquisitions involving large apartment complexes.
In 1999 to meet the increasing demand for better sharing of information among numerous apartment complexes, Dan learned to write web database applications, giving rise to ApartmentComps. This groundbreaking company tracked data across more than 150,000 units of apartments nationwide, earning Dan recognition in the industry.
The events of 9-11 prompted a profound reevaluation for Dan, leading him to prioritize a path centered on helping others. He decided to do this by bringing his extensive real estate experience to the residential market place. Guiding families through their home needs has become the most gratifying chapter of his professional journey. Dan has earned a Managing Brokers license and is also an instructor for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.
Residing in Seattle's Central Area, Dan is deeply ingrained in the community. Actively contributing to Central Area Little League and holding leadership roles such as Chair of the Central Area Neighborhood District Council, board member of the East Precinct Advisory Council, and member of the Madrona Community Council. He regularly attends meetings of the African American Advisory Council.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dan is an ardent amateur photographer and enjoys working on art projects with his adult son. You can find him exploring local trails with his wife and their 75lb Bernese Mountain Dog-Poodle mix.
