My husband and I just worked with Dan and the Winters Real Estate Group team to purchase our first home! From the very beginning, Dan gave a thorough and comprehensive overview of what to expect during the first-time home buying process and it was clear that he was very knowledgeable about the MSP market and the housing market in general. He is honest, passionate about being a realtor, and always happy to answer any questions we had along the way to make sure we fully understood the proceedings and all our options.

Dan and team went above and beyond to find a house that met all of our wants and needs and made it a seamless process. He was prompt in scheduling showings for properties we were interested in seeing, and came to every showing having done all the homework on the property (even checking when certain permits were pulled for electrical and plumbing work, etc.) which empowered us to make informed decisions in situations where you have to move quickly. When we eventually found the home we loved that had received multiple offers on it (nerve-wracking), Dan provided his expert advice and we trusted him to act in our best interest which led to our offer being accepted!

After our offer was accepted, the Winters Real Estate group provided a list of preferred vendors for some projects we had in mind. They continued to provide expert guidance through the inspection process and did weekly check-ins all the way up to closing day. Dan is truly always one step ahead and very conscientious, proactive and professional in everything he does! We had the pleasure of working with Nicole and Derek a bit throughout the process as well. The entire team is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and prompt and responsive in their communications. We were so impressed by their attention to detail.

Buying a home can be a stressful process, especially in times like these. We would highly recommend Dan and the Winters Real Estate Group to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. This is long overdue, but I had met Dan 1 1/2 year prior before buying my townhome. I really appreciated the fact that he and his team worked so fast to find me a home as my apartment lease was coming to an end. His customer service, everything leading to closing was amazing. Update 7/10/22: Danand his team just helped my wife and I purchase a new home. We thought the process would be quick and easy as we found a home soon after beginning our search that we had an accepted offer on. We eventually after continuing through the inspection process with Dan rescinded our offer on that house. Dan and his team supported the many showings throughout the next month that ultimately lead to another accepted offer. Dan assisted through multiple negotiations with the seller's during the time until closing a few days ago. Dan responded quickly to texts, answered calls at all hours, and even a had a weekly email towards the closing date as examples of his unparalleled communication. My fiance and I worked with Dan for purchasing our first home. He was the first realtor to reach out to us when we started to get serious about looking, and his promptness and care with that first reach out was a great indicator of what was to come. From beginning to end (I'm writing this review from the living room in our new home we are in love with!) Dan and his team were wonderful. He made us truly feel like a main priority and made sure we were able to see every home we were interested in on a schedule that worked for us. He answered our endless amount of questions quickly and thoroughly, got to know really well what we were looking for within our budget, and taught us a ton about the home buying process to help us feel comfortable about decisions we made. His knowledge helped us make the right offer in this tough market, and all the little things he and his team did, from the weekly check in emails to picking us up to go to a few showings together, made all the difference in our experience in buying our first home. I recently worked with Dan Winters and a new agent, Trevor Metz, through the Winters Real Estate Group to purchase my first home. Dan seems to specialize in working with first-time home buyers and had a composed and comprehensive overview of the process and was always happy to answer any questions. He had a list of preferred vendors, most of whom worked out great, and he was always on top of everything that needed to be done. Even if someone else was responsible for something, I could trust that Dan was double checking their work and making sure it got done on time.

Buying in today's market is a mess, and it was made even more difficult because I was on a short timeline and most of my searching was done remotely before I moved back to the Twin Cities. Dan and Trevor made sure that everything continued to run smoothly even without me here in person. His staff at the office was extremely prompt and got everything done immediately, and Trevor took me on more FaceTime tours of houses than I can count.

Dan was completely committed to making sure that everything kept moving, and he was always available (even the few times he said he might not be available, there were other people covering and Dan was always reachable by text anyway if needed). He was responsive to every question or comment, and was always there to hop on a phone call to discuss, which is extremely important considering how fast houses are flying off the market these days. Dan was encouraging, which is helpful in a very discouraging market, and had every confidence that something perfect would work out.

There were a few road bumps, as one might expect, but Dan always made sure that I was comfortable with what was going on. He was always clear on what options existed to solve any given issue, and after making a recommendation based on his expertise, deferred to me for the final decision. Through the entire (very stressful) process, I always felt well informed and in-control, which means a lot on such a big decision as buying a first home.

Trevor similarly went out of his way to make sure that the process was as seamless as possible, and I know he'll continue to be a great agent (he was still in training and I'm pretty sure I was one of his first clients). He has a great eye for details and was extremely helpful whenever touring a house.

In the end, I got a great house that I love. It is in a dream location and has been everything I wanted (including short timeline and budget!) and the process went smoothly all the way through close, even without me here in person for most of it. I think it all really came down to needing a real estate agent that was responsive, quick acting, and detail oriented. I definitely found that with Dan and Trevor.

We had an amazing experience working with Justin Frey and the entire team at the Winters Real Estate Group. As first-time homebuyers, we weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into, but Justin patiently walked us through every step of the process and provided detailed explanations all along the way. He had great insight related to different neighborhoods throughout the Twin Cities, different styles of homes and special characteristics to notice, and practical things to consider in both the short-term and long-term. Additionally, if he didn't know the answer to one of our questions, he drew on the expertise of other members of his team and/or sought out additional resources until he found the answer we were looking for. Overall, we felt very listened to, understood, and cared for throughout the whole process, and it genuinely felt as though the entire team was working together to make sure we had a smooth, positive experience. We ended up purchasing a well-maintained Craftsman-style home in the SE Como neighborhood of Minneapolis, and it has been so rewarding to see our dream of owning a house come to fruition. I would absolutely recommend working with Justin - he was delightful to work with and we feel very lucky to have had him as our realtor!

I had the pleasure of working with Ryan Unterberger at the Winters real estate group to sell my home in Shakopee. This was my first time selling a home and he was able to take the stress out of it and make it as enjoyable and as painless as possible.

I met Dan Winters through my son, Paul, who has known him for several years. I live out of state, (Wisconsin), and was concerned that the process may have issues along the way because of this. Dan put my mind at ease from the very first contact with him. Before we met in person, he gave me a call to "introduce" himself. The first thing I noticed was Dan's friendly voice. I worked with Vanessa Anderson from The Winters Real Estate Group She helped me look for my dream home in Rosemount.
As a first time home buyer it is hard and scary to think of all the things that you need to do and how ready you need to be to take this big step.
I had met Vanessa a while back and knew that she would be the best person to work with . She is a great listener when it came to telling her what I needed in a home . The communication that I had with her and the team was AMAZING they work very fast and super efficient. She made me feel like she was as invested as I was and would send me homes to look at all the time . Dan and his team were professional and kind. They helped us navigate closing on our house while during a very trying personal time. They never made us feel like we were bothering them, or asking dumb questions. Dan asked really intuitive questions to understand what we were looking for in our next home and compiled plenty of options that met our needs. Dan was willing to drop everything at a moment's notice to show us homes [on holidays, evenings, weekends, etc.]. Dan was communicative and made himself available to answer questions, field concerns, talk through options, etc. essentially at all times. Dan and his team got us into every home that we asked about, usually at the earliest available time. Dan was extremely patient with us as first-time home buyers. My own situation didn’t allow me to officially work with Dan and his lender Bryan right now, but in a matter of less than 24 hours working with Dan and Bryan I was 150 times more educated and knowledgeable than a week working with another lender. Dan Winters helped my wife and I quickly find a home earlier this winter. Despite how quickly everything happened, we did not feel remotely pressured to settle for something that was not ideal. This was not my 1st home purchase, and I did not expect to feel so confident buying the 2nd time around. A lot of effort/time must have gone into planning a few days of visiting homes.

Dan is the man! This was our second time using Dan for our real estate needs, and he did another great job! Recently Dan helped us find a home virtually in South Minneapolis, while we were living in Charleston, SC. Dan did a good job of showing us numerous homes during FaceTime calls, which made us feel confident in purchasing the right home when the opportunity presented itself.
