About David
Armenta came from an entrepreneurial family. His father had a few businesses as a California Paleta distributor, car flipper, and landlord. His mother helped too. She sold cosmetics. Armenta's dad passed away when he was 13 years old. He taught him a work ethic, interpersonal skills, and a few life-tested idioms. One of them was, "You need money to make money." Well, he didn't have any money, so he had to make it first with a W-2.
Armenta had a heavyweight in his heart to become an entrepreneur but had no direction, he stayed in school and earned Cum Laude associate's degree in Communications from Imperial Valley College. In college, Armenta met Leslie and later married. He skipped graduation and enlisted in the Army.
In the Army, Armenta became a Cryptologic Linguist Signals Intelligence Analyst, They taught him how to speak Tagalog and taught himself Chavacano. Armenta is a polyglot and speaks Spanish too. He served about 6 years on active duty at the 205th MI BN, Hawaii, and the 10th Mountain Light Infantry Division, New York. He separated with the rank of Sergeant.
When he earned a few paychecks, he bought a duplex and navigated the real estate purchase on his own with the help of others. Overnight, he became an overnight landlord. His dad's spirit pushed him in that direction.
Armenta also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship from the American Military University during his active duty service.
The family was still important to him and he longed to have a stable life. The Border Patrol was hiring, so he applied. 8 months later, he was at the Border Patrol Academy. At the Academy Armenta made some lifelong friends who duped him into being the guidon bearer. Armenta always longed for more challenges, so he applied to be trained as a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
HSI called and soon was in the Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP). Armenta graduated after a 7-month training course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) under COVID-19 restrictions. Armenta's classmates joke about it being a federal penitentiary at the time. Armenta graduated with the Top Gun and received the marksmanship award. Shortly after, He realized the next adventure and challenge in life was to become an entrepreneur.
Armenta found his footing over the years in real estate and became good at it. People trusted him with their real estate decisions and came to Armenta seeking advice, "I never imagined I would open up a real estate brokerage, but the path was laid out in front of me. All I had to do was walk it, or sprint."
During his federal career, Armenta was actively investing in real estate. Whether it was purchasing a primary residence, then selling it shortly after, or renting, he found a way to excel in it. Armenta eventually sold all his real estate rentals and began rehabbing homes. He formed a team that continues to operate in California rehabbing several homes a year. He developed a talent for operating at a distance and developed the infrastructure to do so.
"When I'm not rehabbing a property, I spend my time helping others with their real estate goals. I assist and advise my closest friends with their listings, acquisitions, and personal rehabs in Arizona and California."
Armenta is also an ordained minister in the States of California and Arizona.
