About David

David Goldoff has been in the real estate business since 2000. First working for his family’s real estate business who were investors, landlords, and eventually became developers. David learned early on core attributes of identifying ideal value-add assets, executing value-add approaches, and the business of running & operating properties. He worked closely with his Father and Uncle (Identical Twins) learning from the perspective of an “Owner”. It was like having two dads and bosses being included with acquisitions, negotiating contracts, meeting partners, bankers, vendors, and especially dealing with renters & buyers. That lead to developing budgets to renovate apartments, figure out ways to lower costs an increase cash flows or working with the brokerage community selling the conversions from rentals to coops and condos for his family. Through these experiences, David obtained his Broker License early on in his career. David's past work experience in the Advertising industry and a BS degree in Advertising & Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts helps even today to think creatively on how to develop a product that sells or leases effectively & within budget. Over time his family started to develop properties which lead to David's growth and experience in construction, lenders, investors, trades, buyers and brokers alike. In late 2001 the Goldoff family developed a small mixed-use condo in Soho NY, 202 Spring Street. David learned early-on the key to success is to build a strong team, plan as best as you can and execute but be able to adapt quickly to accommodate changing markets. He was very lucky and humble to have the opportunity to work for his father an uncle learning from their experiences and gave him a base knowledge as a landlord and developer.

David's thirst to learn more lead him to enroll at NYU's Real Estate program where he learned more of the academics of the Real Estate industry and developed his network working alongside likeminded individuals, some of which he is still close with today. The colleagues and teachers he met at NYU's Schack Institute of Real Estate were invaluable to his growth and knowledge base. David graduated with a BS for real estate in 2006. Also In 2006 he formed Camelot Realty Group as a full-service boutique Property Management & Brokerage company. First controlling his family buildings and then eventually for investors and third party clients. In 2009 David expanded his services & resources with a strategic alliance with a boutique leasing & sales brokerage called Royalton Realty Group heading their Commercial Real Estate & Investment Sales Division. This allowed David to offer his management clients in-house Market Reports from Royalton's Sales & leasing agents. It was an interesting time to learn from the perspective of an agent on how to market units for rent or sale, qualify buyers and renters, and develop letter's of intent, learn the ins and outs of purchase contracts, leases and riders.

As the company expended, Camelot's strategic relationships with attorneys and accounting firms drew David to expanded his experience in identifying construction defects, structuring Condo & Coop Boards, and releasing newly constructed buildings to the public by staffing and developing operational budgets that govern them. David sits on the boards of the buildings he owns and manages. He has extensive resources with licensed contractors, and vendors that help him run and maintain his properties.

In late 2015 David became General Partner of Penn South Capital a value adds Investment & development company with holdings in NYC. David’s key contributions are networking & meeting new investors interested in Real Estate investing & development opportunities. His keen knowledge of the Real Estate Business, assessing value-add deals, and management resources assist Penn South in their growth. David speaks publicly through various Real Estate forums, is a member of REBNY, and is a licensed Broker & certified Property Manager for over 16 years.
