About David

David has been a licensed real estate broker since 2003. Although he does not currently practice law, he did as a licensed South Carolina attorney from 1984 – 2021. During those years, he had an extensive practice in residential and commercial real estate transactions to include 1031 and reverse 1031 tax deferred exchanges and other complex real estate and business transactions. Also during his former practice as a lawyer, he appeared before the South Carolina District Court, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court and was a certified arbitrator and mediator. During his career, he has gained extensive experience in dealing with zoning and development matters with the local planning offices and county council. He has a great interest in dealing with opportunity zones and other tax saving real estate investments.
