David Wahl

As an undergraduate, I studied and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Niagara University in Business with a concentration in Hotel Administration. Immediately after graduation, I held a series of progressive sales and management positions with Marriott International, Starwood Hotel Group, Cornell University, and Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Now at the pinnacle of my real estate career, I am pleased to be working with “The Best in the Business” at Warren Real Estate. I have spent the past ten years working full-time in the real estate industry. The majority of my professional time is spent helping buyers and sellers. I have represented hundreds of clients successfully close their real estate transaction in Tompkins and the surrounding counties. In addition to helping clients and customers buy and sell real estate I own and manage a modest local real estate portfolio. I choose to invest in real estate locally to help me better appreciate the experience my clients will undergo and to help meet financial goals. Real estate is my passion and that is why I stay involved, ensuring I have some “skin in the game.”

So far in my life, I have had the opportunity to live and work on both coasts including locations in Tampa, Florida; San Diego, California; and Brooklyn, New York. These moves resulted in several personal real estate transactions. I bought my first property when I was twenty four years old and have subsequently personally bought and sold seventeen more times since then. Eleven of my personal transactions took place here, in Ithaca, New York.

I understand and can empathize from personal experience the logistics and emotions of buying and selling and the challenges that sometimes arise with relocation. I can help you meet your hopes and dreams for shelter, sanctuary, and smart investing by being a good listener and responding as an area expert, always drawing upon my experience. I have a proven track record as a top performer for my clients and top producer in the local market. I combine passion for customer satisfaction, problem solving skills, market savvy negotiating and attention to detail to best serve my clients on a daily basis, consistently exceeding their expectations.

My time is also spent as a contributor and member of professional Real Estate organizations including: The Ithaca Board of Realtors; The Tompkins County Landlord Association; Affiliate member of the National Association and the New York State Association of Realtors; Registered as a REALTOR ®; Licensed as a NYS Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker. I am past Chair of Ithaca Board of Realtors Advertising and Public Relations Committee. I currently sit on the Board of Directors for Ithaca Public Education Initiative (IPEI) and Chair the Public Relations Committee, and an active Member of the Ithaca City Housing review board. I am a GREEN designee and Certified Buyers Agent (CBR) through the National Association of Realtors and hold certification through Cornell University Relocation. Additional training and experience I earned Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), specific to Real Estate designation. I was awarded the Leadership Grant Award through the Ithaca Board of Realtors and actively participate in NYSAR as an advocate for property ownership and rights.
