David was responsive, well versed on the NOVA area, and quite helpful throughout the home buying experience. He knew the NOVA area well and was able to offer various information regarding homes, housing divisions, neighborhoods, and traffic. All very invaluable in the decision making process.

We are the 2nd generation of home buyers he has assisted - our father also had an exceptional experience with him. We have also recommended him to friends. Should we find ourselves back in the housing market - we will definitely be using such a reputable and trustworthy agent.

Dave is Ah-MAZING! He is everything a realtor should be, and then some more. He kept track of everything for us from start to finish to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. He listens to what you want and need then works hard to make sure that that is what you get, while making it look super easy. His entire team was always helpful and friendly as well.
As a first time home buyer, we had an easier time of it than when we were looking for rentals with other realtors. I would, and do, recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor.

Home buying, selling and renting has been such a great experience for us because of David Werfel’s knowledge, experience, contacts and communication. We have utilized him, and his RE/MAX Gateway team, for the purchase of 2 homes, the sale of 3 homes, the rental process (including finding long-term tenants), for the last 16 years. (We also employed him to sell my elderly parent’s house. He was so great with them, ensuring all transactions were done in person, versus the commonplace use of automation, which would have been so difficult for them.). He knows what needs to be done to sell your house quickly and with the least cost to you. I strongly suggest you not spend money to do all kinds of upgrades, paint, flooring, etc. until you talk with him. And, If such repairs are necessary, he knows contractors that can take care of all necessary repairs that he can refer to you. He meets with other realtors weekly to do a real estate exchange, and through this process, advertises your property before it even hits the market, enabling the property to sell/rent quickly. He is truly amazing at what all he does to make the process go as smoothly as possible. He’ll ease your mind, and guide you through all processes and challenges. He’s there for you during every step, including even meeting with the inspector and appraiser, providing comps and other property-specific information to the appraiser to validate the sale price, helping to ensure the appraisal doesn’t come in lower than what is the sale price. He is the absolute best in the business, in our opinion.

DAVE IS THE BEST! We chose him as our buying and selling agent and he was responsive and excellent since our first phone call! He helped us put a contract on our dream home in no time despite the extremely competitive sellers’ market we are in and quickly set the wheels in motion to make sure we had what we need to have our existing house in perfect showing condition so we could sell it fast. He had the data and comps to back up his decision for pricing and his marketing and network connections were fantastic. Our house went under contract within a week for more than our asked price! He has been great to work with through the entire selling and buying process from contract agreement, to final closing details and his work ethic and professionalism are truly unparalleled. As honest, hard working, expirenced realtor you will ever find! He knows all the ends and outs, he is courteous, and has all the contacts you will ever need if your planning on selling your house! David is the gold standard of realtors. I think he has about 30 years experience. He helped get my house listed in just a few days, and thats with his handy man contacts doing repairs to the house, carpet cleaners, and a professional photographer taking pictures of the house. Best part is, he sold my house for 10k more than what we listed it for, and it went under contract in about a week, and sold shortly after. I think the secret to that was his ability to constantly followup with other agents as well as their banks, to make sure the process goes smoothly. Awesome job Dave!!

Not only does he know all the multiple details that go into the transaction, he is driven by client needs and wants and is sensitive to whatever the situation is.
