My wife and I walked into the ReMAX on Main Street in Waynesville, NC last summer to compare agents with one we had worked with in the past. As a retired CPA I’ve worked with many businesses and their owners and couldn’t help notice the professionalism of David Willett who was sitting at the ReMAX counter that day.

Rather than overwhelming us with trends and data, David focused on our cabin and the qualities that made it unique and desirable to a perspective buyer. David was honest and ethical in dealing with other agents and their buyers. He worked with us to present our home in a way that attracted several tours and ultimately a contract. Throughout the negotiations, David’s experience and demeanor helped us navigate the very stressful and complicated process of selling a home in Maggie Valley. He explained every important stage in the process of selling a home so effectively that I knew what I needed to know about reaching that most important day of closing.

I found David Willett when I had finally had enough of attempting to sell my Mom's mobile home on my own. I live in Texas and moved my mother here with me after the passing of my father. On top of a million other challenges I was facing with transitioning everything into my Mom's name, trying to sell the trailer on Zillow was simply too much. I was at a loss on how to sell it otherwise since I live out of state and I had already heard the word, "NO" from other realtors. Trailers are considered personal property, not Real Estate and thereby cannot be listed like regular property through the MLS system. Add to this that the trailer was sitting on a rented lot which means less value, more complication & again more of a pain for the seller. This in turn creates much more work on the Seller as EVERYTHING falls on their shoulders. They have to coordinate every showing, respond to every inquiry and generally run the whole show solo since there is no other realtor representing the Buyers like a normal home sale.

I came upon David's name through a Google search and saw his already exceptional reviews. I crossed my fingers and called him at 4:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. To my surprise, he picked up. I explained the situation and gave him all the details. He agreed to drive by the property over the weekend and get back with me on this thoughts. He called me Saturday afternoon, gathered more details and agreed to help me! He took over immediately and started coordinating showings and responding to all inquiries & correspondence.

I am happy to report that we have now sold the trailer and at 62% more than my parents originally paid. David was professional and worked extremely hard on selling the trailer. He treated it like it was a million dollar home and helped me navigate all aspects so my Mom could move on.

I would HIGHLY recommend David for any home buying or selling needs. He is warm, understanding and has a great sense of humor that made some tough moments much easier. I hope I get to meet him in person one day and give him a big hug for helping us. When everyone else said, "NO" he said yes. He helped us in our time of need and I will be eternally grateful. The world needs more people like David Willett.
