About David
David Zwarycz believes that real estate is all about the client. As a sales professional for over 15 years, he has built his business and reputation by focusing on satisfying each of his clients, and referrals from those clients are at the core of his business. Driven by a passion for Chicago and a love of architecture, David takes great pride in guiding his buyer clients through Chicago’s wonderful neighborhoods as well as in sharing his listing clients’ beautiful homes with prospective buyers.
Recognizing that success in real estate is not just having the most listings or buyers, David works constantly to make sure that he and his clients have access to the latest market information and marketing tools, and he continues his education in both formal and casual environments. He even gutted an 1890 Victorian home so he could share with his clients what they should (and much more importantly—what they should not) do in the world of renovations! (Just ask to see the pictures and the scars.)
David has lived in various Chicago neighborhoods and explored the rest of them. He has particularly strong knowledge of Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Old Town, Gold Coast, Streeterville, River North, Wicker Park, Bucktown, West Town, Buena Park, and Roscoe Village.
Born in the western suburbs and studied economics at the University of Chicago. He started his career at the Chicago Board of Trade but quickly realized that his strengths and interests lay with more direct client work, and he became an Executive Search Consultant, recruiting information technology professionals for established corporations as well as start-ups. In that field, as in real estate, David collaborated closely with individuals as they made one of the major decisions of their lives.
From there a career in real estate was a natural next step as David already had helped numerous friends in their searches for homes. Using his ability to educate, advocate and negotiate, he began to work with Sotheby's International Realty and went on to work for a prestigious boutique real estate brokerage where he served as Operations Manager, overseeing all the firm’s transactions and directing professional development of agents. In 2012, David joined one of the most respected firms in Chicago, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, a firm at the top of the Chicago market with reach throughout the metropolitan area.
