I could not be happier with my realtor, Dean. I was recommended to Dean from numerous family and friends that used him for the following reasons: expertise (over 25 years in real estate), passion, empathy, reliability, dedication, attention to detail, and strong communication/negotiation skills. As a first-time homebuyer in their early twenties, the scariest part is that I was unsure about the entire home buying process and how everything works.

From the moment that I picked up the phone and called Dean in August, I felt comforted as he led me through the entire process. On our first phone call, he spent 2 hours explaining to me each step in the process, understand what my dream home looked like, and what steps I needed to take next. During that call, he was sending me suggestions to help me understand what were non-negotiable and suggested things that a first-time homebuyer would not think about, such as would I want a guest to have their own bathroom separate from mine. During this call, Dean’s attention to detail and empathy, stood out to me the most as this helped me to get a better idea of what my dream home would look like.

Something that stood out to me during the process was that Dean would take time out of his busy schedule to check in and communicate in advance what his schedule looked like each week that I used against mine to quickly set up showings. In addition, no matter what his schedule looked like, I always felt prioritized because I would get a call or text within minutes of sending a house or question. Overall, while looking back on my home buying process, it occurred to me that I was the first appointment or one of the first appointments with every house I saw. In addition, Dean would call each agent as we were leaving for every house I loved and was going to put an offer in for, to understand where I stood with what the buyer was looking for. The most important thing is that every offer that I put in, I was always the first offer. Another big fear of mine during the home buying process was getting an agent that was just trying to make a pretty penny and ending up with a nightmare of a house. I never had this thought not once during my experience with Dean as he was completely honest with me on things that we saw in showings which were red flags.

I am not sure if I would have gotten my house if it were not for Dean being constantly proactive by communicating with sellers’ agents before and during each showing. Dean had numerous calls with the seller’s agents to understand what the seller was looking for and if there has been any other offers. All of that being said, Dean was able to help me find my dream home in less than 3 months in this crazy housing market! I cannot recommend Dean enough to family, friends, and coworkers as he has made this first-time home buying process a breeze and can attest to everything in his other reviews!

Dean was first of all honest in helping us sell our home. Trust is most important to us. With Dean we could text or call anytime with questions and he was right back to us. We were not in town for the open house and Dean came with a leaf blower and cleared the porch driveway and back patio without us even asking him to do that. The brochure he had made was perfect and the aerial and inside pictures were top notch professional! Having a professional photographer definitely was a plus in selling the house. He presented us all the offers and did not try to force us into the highest offer to make more commission. We went with the perfect growing family that we felt would appreciate the house the most. Moving after 30 years can be bittersweet and Dean knew that and respected our wishes. That was very important to us. It was probably a month from the time we signed the agreement with Dean until the time of closing. If you want someone you can trust and has your best interest then Dean is the one for you.

Dean is remarkable! My brother and I were selling our parents home, which was also our childhood home, after the death of both of our parents within a few months of each other. My brother lives in another state and my own work schedule was quite busy. Dean dealt with all of our emotional and logistical issues like a champ. He priced the house perfectly and walked us through our options on the offers so that we accepted the strongest one. The photos he posted with our listing were amazing and really captured the essence of the home. His communication skills are exceptional. AWESOME!! Dean was referred to my husband and I by a family member, and it truly was the best thing that happened to us in the home buying process. As first time home-buyers in a challenging market, we knew it would be a long and difficult search, but having Dean to help us along the way, made our search that much easier. Dean took the time to get to know us and made sure he knew exactly what we were looking for in a home. He was extremely responsive and very flexible when it came to scheduling showings and really tried to work around our schedules. He is incredibly knowledgeable and educated us first-time home-buyers each step of the way. My husband and I went through the stressful process of putting our house on the market and buying a new home at the same time. The house we were selling is quite small and appealing to only a certain type of buyer. This worried us as we thought buying would be easier then selling. Dean was able to bring a professional photographer in to show our home in the best possible way and literally took two hours to shoot our 900 foot sq. home. He also put together a fabulous brochure of our home. The results yielded the perfect buyer in about two weeks which both shocked and thrilled us. We also has some septic issues come up prior to settlement which became beyond stressful and Dean was available at all hours to answer questions, offer guidance and forward and respond to texts. Literally at all hours we could expect a response within 2 min. When it was time to buy in this competitive market, Dean was also just as responsive. I personally am a first time home buyer and Dean was able to explain the entire process to me so that I understood exactly what was happening every step of the way without feeling lost or overwhelmed. As settlement on our new home came nearer, Dean was there to remind us to do this, do that, literally providing a to do list so that we did not miss a step that can easily be forgotten when moving and having things coming at you from every angle. Now that we are settled in our new home, it almost feels strange not to hear from Dean every day with a reminder! I feel like thank you is not enough as Dean worked tirelessly and was on call 24/7 for two months with us. If you are looking to buy or sell I could not recommend Dean enough.

Dean could not have done more to help us find a house and sell our house. Buying and selling a house can be a full time job if you don’t have a realtor who is willing to be there when you can’t be there. We sold our house in a day and got more than we were asking, which was awesome, but that’s when the real work begins. We had some issues we had to deal with to appease the buyers and Dean had contractors he knew and met them at our house and met the inspectors. We really could not have done it without him. I highly recommend him!
