Originally from New York, Debra Talley relocated to the Washington, DC metropolitan area in 1989 after earning her degree in Finance from Clarkson University and immediately embarked on a successful career in real estate. Her passion for real estate was ignited by courses she completed in college. Real estate transactions involve complex financial decisions and Debra’s background in finance makes her an invaluable resource for her clients. She has continued to enhance her skill set with professional designations that include a Certified Residential Specialist and a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.
In addition to having an outstanding reputation for marketing distinguished properties and years of experience in the local real estate market, Debra has firsthand experience in home renovation. This gives her the ability to manage the complex process of preparing a home for market by coordinating contractors so that a home is shown at is best. First-time homebuyers, investors, growing families, downsizing retirees and clients with estate sales have all benefitted from her expertise and hard work.
Debra’s experience as a relocation specialist has enabled several families to transition smoothly to Northern Virginia. She has an established record and is known for discretion and privacy when representing her clients. Debra has a special interest in infill building and development and has established relationships with custom builders, developers, investors, and lenders who specialize in construction loans. She helps her clients manage the complex process of new construction and provides advice on selecting floor plans and finishes.
In her free time, Debra enjoys boating, yoga, cooking, and hiking, especially with her two grown children. Her most recent adventure was hiking with her son in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park on Lake Michigan. Debra also looks forward to racing her Porsche Macan Turbo.
