Derek Sandgren is half of the Sandgren Real Estate Group. He currently lives in Yuba City, CA with his wife, Sara, and two daughters, Claire, and Avery. Derek was born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area. His parents were local developers and taught him the value of hard work. Derek graduated from Marysville High School and the University of Pacific (UOP), with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management.
After college, Derek, and his brother Brian, formed The Sandgren Real Estate Group, where they focused on working with single-family, multi-family, and commercial property owners. Since 2006, they have closed over 1,000 transactions, making them one of the highest-producing teams in the area. Brian and Derek also believe in being well-rounded individuals and giving back to the community. Their real estate group donates to several local schools and community events. They have been very involved with numerous committees in the Yuba-Sutter area and Derek has served as Association President. Derek was also awarded Broker of the Year in 2014.
When not representing clients, the Sandgren Real Estate Group has purchased, remodeled, and re-sold over 350 of their own properties. They own an extensive rental portfolio, consisting of residential, multi-family, and commercial assets. These experiences have allowed them to create lasting contacts with local contractors and service providers, that they can recommend to clients.
