Desiree helped my fiance and I find our home back in March. She listened to all of our "must haves" and areas we wanted to look around and got a list going for us immediately. The housing market has been crazy, which could have been defeating and frustrating, however Desiree kept frustrations low and kept us positive throughout the process, allowing us as much time as we needed to look at different homes until we found the right one for us. She is so knowledgeable about all parts of the home buying process and was able to explain each step to us very clearly. She was so easy to work with! We are thankful that we were able to find her as our realtor and would highly recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home. You will not be disappointed!

Desiree Ladyman is a realtor who our family came to trust in, and rely on, during our family’s house hunting process. Aside from her warm, caring, and thoughtful personality, Desiree’s confidence, and experience, kept us reassured that we would find a home suitable for us. At one time, and under unprecedented circumstances, our contract fell through, and Desiree was very positive and encouraged us that she could find us another home. In Desiree’s words, “everything happens for a reason.’ Through all of this we thank God, that not only did we find a new home, in a beautiful community; but, we were also blessed to have acquired a new friend for life. Desiree helped us sell our house in May 2021. She constantly kept an open line of communication so we weren't wondering what our next step was. Any time you buy or sell a house there is almost always a few hiccups involved. During these times she keeps things light, comical and mostly STRESS FREE. She is loyal to her clients and will go out of her way to assist in any way possible. Would recommend Desiree to everyone!

I first met Desiree Ladyman when I was in the market to buy a condo. I saw a listing on Zillow that I was very interested in. My mortgage lender turned out to be a nightmare. They were unresponsive to questions and I had no idea how to get through the offer/purchasing process. I explained my difficulties to Desiree who ran interference through the entire process. Success on this purchase was due to her hard work and going the extra mile.
Fast forward a few years and I decided it was time for me to move closer to my family. Desiree to the rescue again. I contacted her to advise me on when I should put my condo on the market to get maximum return. She convinced me to be patient and wait until the market would be more favorable. Desiree kept in constant contact with me keeping me informed on the current changes in property values and sales. She discussed how we should proceed to meet all my desired results from the sale.
We had several offers the first day we put the condo on the market. The third offer that day was not only higher than the asking price but included many extra incentives for me.
Once again Desiree walked me through the entire process with professionalism and efficiency. Her kindness and consideration for my situation are among her positive personal qualities. Desiree’s honesty and caring attitude for her clients is unsurpassed. I would without hesitation recommend her to anyone without hesitation as the very best realtor they could find.

She went above and beyond to find an "unlisted" home in our desired neighborhood and facilitated a fair deal with the homeowner. As a first time home buyer, I initially had lots of stress about the entire process, but then I came across Desiree. She was the listing agent for a property that piqued my interest, so I contacted her. Unfortunately the home was already under contract. However, I ended that call with Desiree becoming my realtor. After retaining her as my realtor, she promptly set up a meeting to educate me about the home buying process, my rights and protections, and answered every question that I had.

Once I had given her an idea as to what I was looking for in a home, she immediately began searching for listings that may be of interest to me. We had viewed many homes and we would discuss what I thought of a home. One thing that I really liked the most about Desiree was that she didn't every make me feel like I was being pushed to buy a home. There were a few homes that I had considered, but Desiree pointed out very valid details that I had not considered. In my opinion, this spoke volumes about Desiree's character. She could have easily sold me a home, but instead looked out for my best interest. Because of her character/integrity, I strongly recommend Desiree Ladyman as a realtor to anyone. She made the entire home buying process as low stress as possible.

Desiree has been a true pleasure to work with and a godsend for me; not only are we first time home buyers, but I was also completing the search while my husband was away! She kept me together and on schedule for our time frame, especially when I was overwhelmed with juggling the house hunt, working, loan process, etc! She asked the questions I never thought of while searching and helped me navigate EVERYTHING.

To start, Desiree has been working with us for a few years, as we have had several life events pop up that extended our time frames for home buying. During this time, she was incredibly patient and available for all our questions, even without guarantee that a) we would be purchasing and b) using a realtor.

First and foremost, she did not, at any point, treat us like a “transaction.” Yes, there are people who do it all correctly, but do not COMMUNICATE with you. Communication is key, and I felt and continue to feel that we have an on-going relationship; communication and support did NOT cease when we closed!

Not only was she accessible, kind, and responsive, she is extremely knowledgeable and organized! In everything she did, she was prompt and professional. She has a true talent for this, and she easily builds rapport (genuine “people” skills are rare)! I felt so comfortable choosing Howard Hannah because of her, and she is a great representation regarding the quality and standards of this company!

I had so many questions constantly, I know I repeated myself SO MUCH. No matter the environment, amount of questions/repetitions, or the time, her explanations were always thorough, courteous, and honest. That’s also key, straightforwardness - I knew her information was reliable and to the point, which helped as first time home buyers and earning our trust. I was so grateful that she always took the time (even outside of typical business hours) to explain things and never was patronizing nor did she sound “frustrated” or “annoyed” (even if she felt it, it was never conveyed! :) ). She truly has a knack for breaking down all the intricacies of house buying/hunting; she’s got it down to a science! Also, if I ever did have a question she wasn’t sure about, she would be honest and tell me she would follow up on that and get back to me (which she always did!). I also loved that she knew when I had a long day or was overwhelmed, she would send me a written summary of things we talked about, what I liked/didn’t like about certain houses, and what our plan was moving forward and/or when we would touch base again - talk about personalization!

We have heard horror stories about agents our friends/family have worked with - I am so grateful that we had Desiree from the start and learned the most important qualities an agent should possess. I know agents like her, with true talent, excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, genuine kindness, and integrity are few and far between. She had our best interests at heart and provided such helpful feedback and suggestions when asked; she expressed this dedication to us authentically,not just through words, but through her actions!

All in all, I highly recommend Desiree Ladyman. She was so easy to work with and responsive! You will feel like family at the end. I really can’t imagine the home buying process being any easier or smoother; doesn’t mean it wasn’t hectic! It just didn’t feel as crazy as they say, thanks to her and the amazing job she did of assuaging our apprehensions and explaining every detail so clearly and throughly! Also, she was ALWAYS on the ball - we never had to worry about things getting done. She was so thorough and organized. I truly feel that others’ who use an agent AND do not walk away feeling like we do about Desiree/the process (process the agent is involved in, NOT the bank/your responsibilities) did NOT have a quality agent that was well-suited for their needs.
