Don Koonce

Don fell in love with the real estate industry after buying and remodeling two homes. Don’s partner and he could often be spotted at open houses, even though they were not in the market for a home. Real estate gives Don the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and properties. From first-time home buyers, investors, or the family looking for their forever home, each transaction allows Don to build relationships with amazing individuals from all aspects of life. It is not a job when you love what you do!

Don is patient, hardworking, meticulous, and loyal with a passion for helping people. His goal is to meet and exceed his client’s home buying and selling expectations, making each experience a pleasant one, as well as an experience that they will want to share with their family, friends, and loved ones.

Don began his career in the construction industry, learning from his dad, who was a building contractor. Don became an electrician and ran his own electrical contracting business. In 1992, Don sold the business and moved to Seattle. He joined the corporate world and spent 17 years in management and customer service. Don decided that it was time for a change. Now he is using his knowledge of people and building industry experience, side by side with Windermere’s superlative training and support, to do something that Don genuinely loves to do.

Don enjoys gardening and has had two homes on neighborhood garden tours. Don likes day hiking, playing with his two pugs, dinners with friends, and home projects. Don supports Seattle Pug Rescue and is a member of the Rainier Beach Community Club.
