DON MEYERS

Don David Meyers was born and raised in Middlesboro, Kentucky. His mother kept him active in Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church, as his father introduced him to the American Legion and wonderful activities they performed for the community. As Mom said it’s all about service, not selfish. At age 19, he left for the military, serving 24 years in the United States Air Force. After traveling all across the world, he realized there is no place on earth as good as Southeast Kentucky and East Tennessee.
During service Don David became involved greatly in volunteerism. He helped with various organizations including/but not all included: Special Olympics of South Dakota, feeding homeless at the Open-Door Mission in Omaha, Nebraska, and teaching English in a South Korean orphanage for a year. The point is he cares about people and wants to support his community, wherever he resides.
