Donna is a native of Atlanta, but grew up in Charlotte, NC. After college at Western Carolina University and Winthrop College, Donna returned to Charlotte and began 24 years in the banking industry – thirteen with First Union National Bank and the last eleven years with SunTrust Bank. As a retail banker, Donna served as a branch manager and then as an area manager, responsible for nine branch banks. In the last three years of her banking career, Donna became a client advisor in the private wealth department. There, she obtained my professional licenses; Series 6, 63, 7, 66 and Life and Variable Insurance.

In 1991, while still with First Union, Donna moved to Savannah, and in 1998 she married her husband, Reggie Abbott, Jr., a Savannah native. Reggie and she built their first home in the Southbridge neighborhood in 2001. Since then, they have built and renovated many more homes for themselves as well as investment properties, ranging from starter houses to $500,000 luxury homes, all in the Greater Savannah area. Because of this, Donna has gained deep experience in the local real estate market.
After leaving the banking industry in 2009, Donna became an independent contractor with Premier Designs Jewelry, a direct sales company. Ultimately, she realized that a career in real estate could combine her experience in banking, investments and home buying, with her passion for customer service and sales. So in 2016, Donna became a licensed realtor with an eye toward helping clients with one of their most significant investments – selling or buying a home.
