Douglas Hoven

My name is Douglas Hoven and I am proud to be an agent with the award-winning Ron Sawyer Team at RE/MAX Prime. Prior to getting into real estate I served in the Navy on Submarines for eight years and subsequently worked as a Lead Test Engineer on Submarines for another nine years. After resigning from government I worked in the automotive industry as a General Manager and it was there that I discovered my love of caring for people in my local community. It was fulfilling caring for my customers cars, but I found that caring for all their home needs would be more meaningful. I’ve lived all throughout the Southeast, but Hampton Roads has been my home for over sixteen years now. I’ve worked and lived in several cities throughout the area and am very familiar with the area and local neighborhoods. In my free time I enjoy cycling all throughout Isle of Wight and Southampton County, woodworking, homesteading, reading, home renovations, and spending time with my five children. I personally performed my home renovations and use this expertise in order to help clients make informed decisions when it comes to buying or selling their homes. I have utilized all of my knowledge and past experience to help me succeed as a real estate agent. I pride myself on being able to provide tailored advice and support, with each client receiving extensive individual attention. My life has prepared me to advocate for my clients no matter how difficult the circumstance. I also have an award winning team to ensure my clients receive quality service to make the home buying / selling process as smooth as possible.
