His experience in sales, marketing, and management, combined with his education in finance, ultimately attracted him to the industry. Dylan moved to Bakersfield immediately after high school to attend Cal-State Bakersfield on a golf scholarship. At the end of his freshman year, he began working in the accounting department for Western Veg-Produce, a local produce marketing company. One year later, he moved to sales and started brokering various fruit and vegetable items from all over the continent to local and national customers. Dylan managed the sales and marketing for multiple commercial growers with numerous commodities, both regional and international, while helping to re-brand and create modern marketing strategies for the company. He led the company through a complete change in accounting software amid his intimate involvement in the acquisition, sales, marketing, and management of one of the largest independent strawberry growing operations in the nation. His extensive experience in management and marketing in a volatile, fast-paced environment gives him a unique edge when it comes to addressing landlord and tenant challenges in a variety of commercial real estate transactions.
