Born and raised in Alabama, Edwin is a life-long southerner. His birthplace is a historic town (the entire town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places!) of 53 people that impresses all those who visit: Mooresville, Alabama is full of charming cottages, picket fences, and pre-Civil War antebellum homes. His upbringing there influenced his deep love for preservation, affinity for design and architecture, and a profound reverence for all things from yesteryear. As he looks back at his home town, it’s no surprise that he has become an expert in real estate about the types of housing in different eras of time, architecture, and the history of housing in modern America. In addition to his love for renovation and design, Edwin loves being outdoors: working in the yard, hiking the trails, or soaking up the sun on the beach. In his free time, he’s an avid sports fan and a periodic reader. He seeks to keep his life rich with diverse hobbies. He also trains high intensity pilates for Core704 and am currently a commissioner appointed by the City of Charlotte to the Historic Landmark Commission.
Charlotte, NC came into Edwin’s life in 2001 when he moved here to take a new job. His real estate career began shortly thereafter and was born out of buying a 1930’s craftsman bungalow in the historic Wilmore neighborhood. He fell in love with the tree-canopied streets, the simple details of the homes, and the can-do spirit of the neighbors that were fixing up their old homes. Neighbors became friends, and friends became his first clients. For his clients, he brings a unique skillset and the experience and track record of one of the top performers in the industry. His skills and talent include a keen eye for detail, a supreme knowledge of renovation and construction, and he is a thorough evaluator of value and opportunity.
Much like his neighbors became friends, Edwin’s clients have become his friends over the years he has worked in real estate. He is ever-grateful for the awesome community that he has created here in Charlotte. Edwin is known for going to the limit for his clients; he works hard to goes above and beyond for them. As they say, if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. That said, he feels privileged to work for his clients in this line of work. Since he loves it so much, it doesn’t occur like work to him. He’s always happy to take on a cool new client and assist them in fulfilling their real estate goals.
