About Elise

Before joining John L. Scott’s Kent North office, Elise Hughes worked in sales and marketing as well as the grocery and wine industries. Most recently, she was a transaction coordinator and decided she wanted to shift her focus in real estate to become a broker, working on the front lines of helping others buy and sell homes.

Elise is a Seattle native through and through. She was raised on Capitol Hill, but has also lived in Kent, Bonney Lake, Lake Tapps, Clyde Hill and Clinton on Whidbey Island. She loves living in the Pacific Northwest and helping all types of clients buy and sell single-family residential homes around the Puget Sound. Clients often choose Elise because they know she will show up with a good attitude and be of great value to them during the oftentimes emotional process of buying or selling a home.

It’s Elise’s aim to provide excellent client service through providing value, finding solutions and serving with integrity. She is focused on engaging fully with clients before, during and after the transaction. Relationships are key in real estate, and Elise takes her relationships with clients seriously as well as others involved in the transaction – from lenders to the listing or selling agent representing the other half. When she works with sellers, Elise puts her knowledge of marketing and social media to work – whether it’s a new listing or an open house event, people will know about it and engage.

Reading positive books, traveling near and far, walking on the beach, spotting bald eagles and eating healthy foods are all favorite pastimes of Elise’s. She is also a big Seattle sports fan – be it cheering on the Seahawks, Mariners, Huskies or reminiscing about the Seattle SuperSonics! Elise is inspired by seeing others who don’t give up in the pursuit of their goals, and loves being a cheerleader for others, in business and in life.
