Lake Norman is the place where people come to re-invent themselves. That's just what my husband and I did more than a decade ago. Out of a country full of choices, this is the place we picked - the first time in over 16 moves where I could choose.
I spent 20 years as a writer and journalist - for radio, TV and print. In fact, the first thing I did in coming to the area was writing for Lake Norman Magazine, various Charlotte Observer visitors guides, and Lake Norman Currents. I had to learn local history fast, and in the process, meet fascinating people doing interesting things. I published more than 75 articles & photos over the course of the first few years, so there are many stories I can tell you about this lake & the variety of people from all over the world who live here.
