Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego while becoming one of the schools most decorated rowing athletes. Upon graduation, Emily decided to pursue a coaching career to give back to the sport that shaped her young adult life. Emily was phenomenally successful as a coach at Oregon State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Virginia, garnering conference, and national championships as well as individual Coach of the Year honors at the school, conference and National levels.
Emily has lived all over the United States but has called Corvallis home for more than a decade. After moving to the mid-Willamette Valley to become the Head Coach at Oregon State University, she fell in love with all the area has to offer. She and her wife, Christine, enjoy all things outdoors including running, biking, water sports, hiking, and playing with their German Shorthaired Pointer, Cooper. Emily also enjoys national and international travel. As a college recruiter, she visited a dozen different countries, her favorites being New Zealand and Switzerland.
