About Eric
Hello, my name is Eric Hicks, Husband, Father of Four, Retired Railroad Conductor of 33 years, and Ex-Railroad Conductor's Local Chairman. After retirement I was in search of the next chapter in my life and decided to chart a new course in the Real Estate industry. This new hat that I'm wearing is a good fit for what I have experienced in the past as a Railroad Conductor, and as a Union Shop Stewart.
I've learned how to work with Union, and Management under pressure situations, and deadlines when someone's job was hanging in the balance. How to interpret contracts, negotiating, and working along side Management in the boundaries of that contract for a safe and productive working environment. I know how to work towards, and reach a reasonable conclusion for the good of all.
My 33 years as a Railroad Conductor showed me the importance of being on time, ready to work and how to have a competent understanding of the job at hand. I was responsible for the safety of the communities that I've traveling through, and the safe delivery of the freight that my train carried.
That same commitment that I had for my job as a Conductor I now have as a Realtor, and that same love that I have for my Union, I now also have when I'm working with a client as I help guide them to the home of their dreams.
I like to travel, cook, fresh, and saltwater fishing, meeting and helping people. I have been granted a patent from the U.S. Patent Office for a fishing product not yet on the market, but I'm still hopeful!
So I have not slowed down and I'm a hard worker. Let me help guide you to that dream home that you have always wanted.
