About Flint

Flint is a real estate broker and planner who helps people who want to invest in property, beginning with their first home. He's also an entrepreneur at heart and, by experience, has three years of restaurant operation and ownership under his belt. The foundation of Flint's career dates back to his first two jobs, which he held after his first year at Cornell University. He was a restaurant busboy and worked as a financial planner.

Throughout college, Flint knew he wanted to own his own business. He'd grown up in a small town in upstate New York where many people were self-employed. After earning his Bachelor of Science in business administration, Flint moved to Charlotte, where his dad had retired. He remembers his dad telling him, "If you can take a risk right now and get started on your own business, you will always be able to carve your path." By day, Flint worked toward opening a restaurant, and by night he learned the business by working as a bartender.

Flint realized his dream of restaurant ownership just a few short years before the 2008 financial crisis. He had to shutter his eatery in 2009, but his dad was still right; the experience was invaluable. Flint learned how to build a business on relationships because every business is a relationship business. Now at TriStone Group, Flint helps people invest in real estate, starting with their first home and beyond. He leads a team of four brokers, and thanks to referrals and repeat business, sales quadrupled in Flint's first five years.

Each day, Flint draws on his previous experience. As a restaurateur, he worked to take care of and grow his ranks of regular customers. That's how he has built his real estate business — not with strangers, but with people who like and trust him with their hopes, dreams, and, most important, investments.
