Gary was born in Charleston and raised in Goose Creek. After competing in numerous vocal competitions, he graduated from Goose Creek High School and attended Florida State University, where he majored in vocal performance and pursued additional studies in church music. Over the past 33 years, he has held various ministry positions, leading music and serving as a church administrator for 18 years, earning national certification as a church business administrator.

Married to his beautiful wife, Janice, for 35 years, Gary is a proud father of two adult daughters who both graduated from Stratford High School in Goose Creek. He currently sings tenor with the Singers of Summerville and enjoys exploring all genres of music. Beyond family time, his greatest joy lies in helping others realize their potential and make informed decisions. In his spare time, he enjoys singing, spending time with loved ones, playing Words with Friends, and indulging in Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
