Gay Dillashaw

Having lived most of her life in Charlotte, Gay Dillashaw has a unique perspective to offer her clients. From her parents’ home in Myers Park and her family’s Eastover home, Gay has watched Charlotte transform from the small town of her childhood to the center of a thriving metropolitan region. She has always been a strong advocate for the city of Charlotte and very committed to giving back to the community. She is totally dedicated to her clients, passionate about Charlotte, and always strives to exceed expectations. She has twice been honored with the prestigious Barbara Tate Legendary Service Award.

Gay is a graduate of Salem College, with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and history and a minor in art history. Following graduation, she entered the corporate world as a systems analyst. Gay began her real estate career in 1991 and joined Allen Tate in 1996. She has served as SouthPark branch leader, Myers Park branch leader and Vice President of Operations. In 2010, she returned to giving her full attention to her clients and their real estate endeavors.

As Vice President of Community Relations, Gay continues to lead Allen Tate's community giving initiatives, including the Allen Tate FUNDay for public education and Tate Cares, a combined giving campaign for United Way and cultural organizations across our region. She also serves on the company's strategic planning team.

Gay has continued to serve the Charlotte community as a board member of the Arts and Science Council and Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, as a founding director of the McColl Center for Visual Arts, and as Past President of the Junior League of Charlotte. She has also been very involved with the real estate industry serving both the Charlotte Regional REALTOR® Association as Past President and the Carolinas Multiple Listing Service as Past President. She continues to serve as a director for the National Association of REALTORS®.
