About Gayle

Born and raised in the Charlottesville area, Gayle has a deep appreciation for all that makes the central Virginia area so unique. Gayle graduated from Sweet Briar College with a degree in economics and returned home to manage the family farm for ten years. She later ventured to Michigan to work with a large apple operation as marketing director and to obtain a degree in Information Technology and her MBA.

Missing the Virginia lifestyle, Gayle returned to begin her real estate career in 2001. After working for a few years for several Charlottesville real estate firms, Gayle started her own company, Gayle Harvey Real Estate, Inc. Because of Gayle's love for all things related to agriculture and nature, Gayle specializes in farms, estates, and large land tracts.

Gayle is active with the Rural Land Institute and is the only Charlottesville Realtor to have obtained the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant designation. Gayle has conducted various webinars and written articles for the Institute over the years.
