Prior to joining Corcoran, Gillian created and managed a team of agents, handling everything from recruiting and training to developing a brand and building industry relationships. The team worked collaboratively to service their main property owner accounts by tackling the hard-to-rent inventory. Over the years she has rented many apartments throughout Brooklyn as well as parts of Manhattan and Queens; plus, she is more recently embraced the world of sales and recently got her broker license.
Highly resourceful and positive as well as an excellent communicator, Gillian is known to always be true to her word and do the utmost to make a deal happen, creating win-win situations. A believer in the power of long-term relationships, she has by listening and understanding others’ needs and perspectives, managed to save many deals and keep things on-track. Clients genuinely appreciate her vast network, hard work and straightforward approach, as they do her skilled negotiations that streamline transactions.
Born in Manchester, UK, Gillian earned a master’s in psychology at the University of Glasgow, and master’s in business administration/MBA at Strathclyde Business School, also in Glasgow. She has called New York home since 2006, living in various neighborhoods in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Her first day in the city, she landed a job at the landmark Ear Inn, where she excelled in hospitality over nine years.
Gillian has lived in Bushwick, Brooklyn for a decade plus. She loves yoga and is a certified instructor who previously taught private pre-natal and kids yoga classes. Gillian is the proud mom of a son Finn who keeps her busy. She also likes to cook, host dinner parties, and travel regularly to Europe when opportunity allows.
