Homes.com Review

I knew Greg since the 1980s from around the neighborhood before we were old enough to buy beer. So you would expect me to give him a good recommendation right. But here's the big coincidence thing. My husband and I was already working with a mortgage company and working on our credit to buy a home. I hadn't seen Greg in years and ran into him at the Walmart. So when I found out he was a Realtor of course I got his card and promised to call when we were ready. A couple of months go by and Courtney at the mortgage company finally said we were pre-qualified and could go out and start looking. So I called Greg like I promised. It didn't take that long to find a house. We signed the contracts, did the appraisal, did the home inspection and all of that. Then we got a call from Greg, and he told us that Courtney was no longer at the mortgage company. He was told someone else would take over our loan, after they completed their own files. He didn't feel they would get it closed on time. I'm upset because we had been working with Courtney for months and she didn't tell us anything. So I called her cell and sure enough she said she got in some argument with a manager and walked out, but promised me we would be taken care of. Then I called the mortgage company myself and it definitely sounded like we were going to the back of the line. The people we were buying the house from was suppose to close on their new home, and those people were suppose to close on a home. We had already packed and gave notices. This was unbelievable and I was beyond upset. But Greg wanted me to stay calm while he made some phone calls. He got back to us and said he was going to have our loan file, the appraisal, and everything transferred to another mortgage who said they would do what they can to try and get it closed by the end of the month. To make a long story short, we did close on time with this new mortgage company Greg had everything transferred to. I don't know if this is something other realtors can do but it seemed like he saved us. I do know that we had kind of gotten to know the seller's realtor because she stayed the whole time at the home inspection. And when we saw her again for the final walk-thru I could tell that she didn't think we were going to close at all. So I don't feel she would have done it. So it's true that I main reason I used Greg was because I knew him. But I definitely know that he prevented a major disaster from happening.

Some other agents did not even return my phone calls after they saw my credit report. Greg contacted me. We went over my credit report. He knew exactly the right mortgage company that could help me. And she help me write a letter to explain a some of the things on my report. LaVerne even help me get a couple of things taken off the credit report. She then help me get a excellent reference letter from my landlord. I was approved for a home mortgage. I am a single mother, and I now own a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2bath town home.
