Hyunjung Kim is a New Jersey licensed real estate Broker Associate. After attending Kyounghee University in Seoul, South Korea, Hyun continued her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY. Following her graduation from FIT, she spent over a decade working in the fashion industry, first as a Designer for boutique clothier Justin Allen, then a Senior Designer for Nautica, and, most recently, a Director of Product Design for global apparel and footwear company VF Corporation. During that time, Hyun gained invaluable experience in managing design teams, developing products for domestic and international markets, creating innovative design concepts, and coordinating with third-party manufacturers and vendors. She brings that same sense of collaboration, respect, and forward-thinking she applied during her working career to everything she does.
After over ten successful years as a professional in the fashion industry, Hyun decided to retire in order to raise a family. And she was blessed to have three beautiful children. But even during that time she remained actively involved with a host of charitable foundations and pro bono causes including being a committee member for The Holy Name Hospital and Sejong Cultural Education, the chairman of the Young Women’s Committee at the Canaan Korean Community Church, and the treasurer for the Korean Parent’s Association at the Dwight Englewood School.
With her family well settled, Hyun decided to re-join the workforce in 2015. She obtained her real estate agent’s license in 2015 and Broker-Associate license in 2020. She is excited to bring her professional experience and skills to the Globally renowned Sotheby’s International Realty brand and join the Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty team. Hyun’s commitment to professional excellence and ethics focuses on familial and communal values, and emphasis on philanthropy, aligning well with the principles of the firm.
Hyun has lived most of her life in various parts of Bergen County and currently resides in Tenafly with her husband and three children. She is fluent in both English and Korean.
