John is a Sussex County Native, having been born & raised in Bethany Beach. He has a long Family history in the Real Estate business having started at the age of just 8 years old passing out flyers, scraping & painting Real Estate signs for his father, Bake Timmons Jr. John's grandfather developed and managed vacant land and rental properties in the Sussex County area for decades dating back to the 1950s. After graduating from Indian River High School, then moving on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing Management, John moved back to the area he loves and started selling Real Estate in 1993!

John has a tremendous love for the Ocean and is an avid fisherman, hunter & lover of the sand, the sea and our treasured natural shorelines & State Parks. Along with being partners with his younger brother in the Real Estate Business for the past 20 years, John is a proud and loving father of four children. Biking around Downtown Bethany Beach or walking along the shoreline searching for sea glass, beautiful conch shells & driftwood are one of his most enjoyable moments.
