Jacob Oliver

Born in Amelia County, Virginia Jacob was bred to be an outdoorsman. His family owned a small farm where he explored the surrounding properties with enthusiasm. His father introduced him to small game hunting at an early age which allowed him to explore a wide variety of properties in the Piedmont and Coastal areas of Virginia. After attending high school in Richmond, he was off to Hampden-Sydney College where he played lacrosse while maintaining an active outdoor life near Farmville, VA. Jacob’s family eventually purchased their family farm in Buckingham, Virginia where he has managed deer, ducks, doves, turkeys, rabbits, and quail ever since.

Jacob’s real estate career began in the Richmond Virginia market. He learned the ropes from experienced residential agents and worked his way to a manager role after being the top producer for three years. Spreading his wings, he went out on his own with a national residential firm before an incredible opportunity at Mossy Oak Properties presented itself - his dream job!

Now that he is older, he enjoys all types of hunting but even more so the process of building and enhancing habitats to benefit all types of wildlife. Each spring and summer you can find him at various farms implementing food plots, clearing trails, and preparing for the upcoming hunting season. Having earned his Eagle Scout recognition with Troop 400, he understands the need for stewardship in the outdoors and leaving nature as undisturbed and pure as possible. Through his involvement with his local Ducks Unlimited and Ruffed Grouse Society chapters, he has developed many friendships through the outdoors. Aside from his passion for all things wild, he has been helping to get new people outside, whether fishing for redfish in the coastal waters of Virginia or sitting in a deer stand overlooking an oak bottom.
