If you want to talk to a realtor in big island, you have to talk to Jim. But it’s not just Jim, has to be Jim Dahlberg. We had been bought three properties and sell one property through Jim. It is all go through smoothly and with the professional timely matter.
If there’s anything that will benefit you, he vastly knowledge will stand by your side and fight for it.

Jim was my property manager for about a year and half. He was very professional, had extensive knowledge of the business and was very proactive in dealing with any issues that had arisen. He was very good with dealing with people and new the ins-and-outs of the island culture which helped when having to resolve any issues that came up. Jim recently helped me and my wife to buy our first house. We could not be happier with his service! Jim is extremely knowledgeable and promptly responds to any questions (day or night!) you may have. We felt we could count on him during the whole process. He would explain each step, make all necessary calls and arrangements, thoroughly read and summarize documents and would indeed serve as YOUR agent at all times. Being a local (born and raised) was the cherry on the top, as we could count on him for referrals and all sorts of information we needed. Finally, he makes sure to emphasize that "his job doesn't end at recording" and he has indeed continued to help us with any issues we had after we moved in. If you are looking for an agent, Jim is the guy! Highly recommended!

The guy has more connections and knowledge of Hawaii than anyone else I know. He is a mover and shaker, but also a trustworthy family man. My son and I were looking for a home and wanting to sell ours. Jim was so helpful and showed us many homes as well as bringing folks through our home almost immediately. In the end we decided to stay where we are and do some improvements. Jim was gracious and encouraging even though he didn't benefit from our decision. I would recommend him to anyone in the market to sell or buy. He was on top of everything and in contact with us daily. His knowledge of the area really helped us in understanding home values and other considerations. He has even checked in with me over the last 6 months to see how everything is going. I first met Jim when I was searching for my future retirement home in Kona. I found a home that checked every box on my list. With mixed emotions I inquired for more information knowing that there were many negative factors going on in my life that would most likely disqualify me from getting this home. Given Jim's history and background, you couldn't ask for anyone more knowledgeable and resourceful. After my frustrations of another broker not getting back to me on a listing...I found Jim. With my initial email outreach, Jim responded that same day and we were off and running. Working with me remote in California was never a problem as we searched, strategized and successfully closed on a prime piece of land to build our home. Jim wasn't just our real estate agent, he became a friend forever. Selling our property, that was in an HOA, had some unique issues. When it seemed like we would finish the closing, something would come up that delayed the process. Jim would not get frustrated. He would say, "my glass is not half full, it is always overflowing"! When my husband first contacted him regarding a Kona property, James spent a long time finding out exactly what we wanted and showed him many good properties. James found us the perfect Hawaiian home at the best price and ideal location. James took our many odd hour phone calls and made us feel he had all time in the world to help us with his massive experience and connections. We thank James Dahlberg for finding us our dream home in Kona and for helping us each step along the way until closing. James also provided us with indoor and outdoor furnishings including furniture, linens, sheets, kitchen pots, pans, small appliances, crockery, dishes, and silverware until our moving container arrived. Additionally, he helped us to get our telephone, tv, and internet connections quickly. Not only did James go out of his way to assist us moving in, but he also drove us to Hilo to pick up our transported cars.
