Growing up in the Midwest, James attended the University of Illinois, where another Ebert, Roger Ebert, also attended. The music and classes allowed him to study Urban Planning, Sociology, Psychology and Music. As a kid, he marched in Drum and Bugle corps as well.
James lives in Oak Park, California with Jennifer, his wife and their two sons. They truly appreciate the excellent schools, good neighbors, and terrific hiking in the surrounding foothills. And all this within 30 minutes of Malibu Beach. “This area was once a ranch owned by Fibber McGee and Molly, the famous radio comedy duo. A part was sold to Bob Hope, and he and Big Crosby used to go hiking in these very same hills. Show business is still very much alive in these same hills today.”
