About James

James Giddens is Owner and President of Giddens Homes. He has been in the home building business since graduating from Texas A&M in 1982 and began his career working for a Central Texas area homebuilder and went on to start Buffington Homes. He also previously worked for Lennar Homes where he started the Austin operation and eventually took over the San Antonio operations overseeing the building of 2500+ homes per year. Having gained this industry experience, James found his passion was deeply rooted in the semi-custom home build. As a custom homebuilder, he could spend time getting to know the home buyer and their vision for a dream home, helping manage the home building process to deliver a uniquely customized home. It is with this mission in mind that he found Giddens Homes in 2011 and grew the company into the number one custom homebuilder in Central Texas.
