James Smith

Born and raised in the Twin Cities, James attended Armstrong Senior High and went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in Finance and Management. James has over 15 years of experience in finance and commercial sales between Fortune 500 and small business. In January of 2019 James joined Commercial Investors Group as Vice President of Acquisitions and shares a passion for commercial real estate problem solving and brokerage services. James is helping run and grow the business, which is centered on humility, service excellence and developing people, places, and ideas. In his spare time, James enjoys cooking, golf, disc golf, biking, fishing, spending time with his niece, nephew, family & friends, mentoring others and volunteering his time to enrich the lives of others around him and in the community.
