About Jane
A resident of Arlington for over 40 years who has bought and sold multiple homes, Jane Morrison understands northern Virginia’s competitive market and the negotiation savvy required for facilitating winning real estate transactions. Jane is also part of the community fabric, deeply familiar with the neighborhoods, local organizations, and events, and connected to a vast network of service professionals.
Jane spent the earlier part of her career solving problems, negotiating, and sharpening her people skills — not as a real estate agent but as a tech consultant for over 20 years. With her bachelor’s degree in business information technology, Jane’s career took her from the federal government to Fortune 500 companies. She gained the talent to solve complex issues that elevates her above her competitors. When she interviewed for a job to continue her IT support, this time for real estate agents, Jane took an employee personality test and discovered she was better suited to sales than support! Jane had already earned her real estate license, so she took the leap and said goodbye to flipping through data spreadsheets and hello to cultivating listings.
Jane does not play favorites when it comes to her clients. Among her myriad buyers and sellers are first-time buyers, downsizers, retirees, and everyone in between — and she loves collaborating with them all. She also enjoys overcoming challenges and drawing from her background to craft innovative solutions.
Jane has raised and “launched” three daughters who each have remarkably successful careers. She loves to exercise, cook — when the time allows — and entertain friends and family with her husband. She’s also committed to giving back to her community. She is a longtime member of a women’s volunteer group that partners with different charities. Jane has also taught computer classes to immigrants seeking to gain tech skills, and she supports the Arlington Food Assistance Center.
