Janet moved to Austin the day after she graduated from high school and like many, she never left. Janet remembers an Austin when there were no downtown high rises, no Loop 360, a Cedar Park that was only a blip on the radar, and the drive to Hamilton’s Pool was a trek out in the country-side. As Austin grows and expands, some things never change, the relaxed way of life, the friendly neighborhoods from downtown condos to sprawling properties in the suburbs. All are a part of this city Janet loves. Whether you are new to the Austin area or already here and looking for a change, Janet is dedicated to making your wants, needs, and dreams become a reality. With her patience, knowledge, and desire to serve, Janet and her Licensed Assistant, Sally Whitehouse, pride themselves in helping others feel happy and comfortable as they take the weight of the task of buying or selling off your shoulders. Janet graduated from The University of Texas with a B. S. in Education, spent five years at the Texas Railroad Commission in the Oil & Gas Division, and had a thirteen-year career as a legal assistant before deciding to become a licensed real estate agent. Her attention to detail and the “people” experience she received as a legal assistant enhance her skills as a Realtor. Janet’s passion for the work she does and her love of taking care of her clients with her high level of customer care are simply a joy. Janet is married to Jim, an attorney with the Attorney General’s Office. They have lived in Northwest Hills with their daughter, Julia, since 1996. Janet enjoys lap swimming, cooking, really good movies, teaching herself to crochet, participating in a book club with friends, and spending time with friends and family. She also serves as a Stephen’s Minister on the funeral care team at Tarrytown Methodist Church. Janet believes that home is where the heart is and is grateful for the opportunity to help you find your place in Austin.
