Born in San Francisco and raised in Pasadena; January of 1961, fresh out of UCLA, with her degree in hand and a job waiting with LA schools, Janice came to Mammoth for a ski weekend that has lasted over 59 years. When she first made Mammoth her home, there were about four hundred people who also called Mammoth home. There were two chair lifts on the Mountain and no condominiums in town. Now the town is home to over 7,500 people, the Mountain has over twenty-five chairs plus 3 gondolas, a new Village, over 5,200 condos and daily air service. Janice has experienced Mammoth's transformation firsthand as a resident and as a real estate professional. As an accomplished athlete (Mammoth ski instructor, Santa Monica lifeguard, and triathlete), she loves all that Mammoth has to offer.
